Biography
Mitch is a competitive marathoner and brings this competitive spirit to his practice of the law in the areas of commercial, employment, bankruptcy and real estate litigation.
He enjoys figuring out the unique aspects of each dispute and works with his clients, most of whom have been with him for years, to creatively resolve their disputes in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Sometimes, however, the only resolution is trial. Mitch enjoys trial work and is fully prepared to take every case to verdict if necessary.
Over the years, Mitch has focused his practice on representing credit unions from across the country in matters ranging from basic contractual disputes to high-stakes litigation.
Mitch and his firm have been representing credit unions of all asset sizes since 1989 and he has been lead counsel on complex litigation matters including: breach of contract actions, discrimination defense, defamation actions, regulatory disputes, fidelity bond coverage claims, and the defense of claims asserted under various state and federal consumer statutes. Mitch has also represented corporations of all sizes from closely held corporations to publicly listed entities in various business disputes, including class action defense.
Mitch has extensive litigation experience, having litigated claims in various state and federal courts both at the trial and appellate levels and in alternative dispute resolution forums. A number of his cases have been reported in news publications.
Mitch’s firm also offers a full suite of services for their credit union clients in connection with mortgage lending, foreclosure litigation, mergers, collective bargaining, employment investigations, as well as resolving compliance and regulatory issues.
